The City of Logansport, Logansport Parks & Recreation, Logan’s Landing, and the Cass County Community Foundation are excited to announce plans for an expanded celebration to kick-off the 2024 holiday season. Plans include dedicating a new 30-foot Christmas tree, vendors, music, and visits with Mr. & Mrs. Santa Claus at Iron Horse Park.
Events are set to begin at 2:00PM on Friday, November 29th with a free movie matinee at the State Theatre. Vendors will be operating and selling food and crafts in the area of the Logansport Farmer’s Market beginning at 4:00 PM that day. The annual “Light-Up Logansport” parade will step off at 6:00 PM followed by the first ever tree lighting ceremony at Iron Horse Park immediately following the parade.
The parade will begin at the traditional point on 8th and E. Broadway and will end at Heritage Park with Mr. and Mrs. Claus, elves, and even the Grinch. Parade viewers should make note of the new end location. Plans also include Civic Players of Logansport leading Christmas carols and Junior Civic Theater performers.
