Logan’s Landing is a National Accredited Main Street community focusing on economic vitality, design, promotion, and organization. This approach set out by Main Street has led to significant improvements in the downtown area which includes restoration of historic buildings, the introduction of new businesses, and the creation of engaging community events.
Logan’s Landing is a 501(C) (3) non-for-profit organization dedicated to the revitalization and economic development of downtown Logansport since 1996. Through a collaborative effort with local businesses, government entities, and community members, Logan’s Landing aims to create a vibrant and sustainable downtown that honors its historic roots while embracing future growth. Our downtown is the heart of our community, and we are committed to “enhancing your downtown experience where two rivers meet.”
We are made up of one Executive Director, eleven Board of Directors, and four committees which are listed below.
Organization Committee: Focus on the nuts and bolts of how the organization functions. Projects include by-laws, employee handbook & evaluations, fundraising and budgeting, check and balances.
Promotion Committee: Focus on attracting people to the downtown district and on building community spirit and pride, both downtown and community wide. Projects include special events, interaction with other entities such as The City of Logansport, the Chamber of Commerce, the Cass County Visitors Bureau and more.
Design Committee: Focus on getting the downtown area into top physical shape. Their goal is to make downtown an inviting atmosphere, create attractive areas such as pocket parks, flowers, benches, streetscape, landscaping and public art. The Design committee offers a Façade Improvement Grant program for business owners to make improvements to their buildings.
Economic Vitality: Focus on helping new and existing businesses by providing education and resources necessary to grow businesses. They strive to build a diverse economic base, catalyze smart new investment and cultivate strong entrepreneurship ecosystems.
